Expanded Roster, Exciting Teams: This season, Zwift's flagship elite racing event is going bigger and better. Sixteen men's and women's teams will battle it out, with six new teams joining each division. Get ready to witness the clash of cycling titans as they tackle diverse race formats, including the intriguing Points Hunter, the challenging Mountain Points Race, and the grueling Epic Points Race.

Behind the Scenes with Zwift Race Team: The Zwift Race Team conducted thorough surveys and gathered valuable feedback from potential racers and their teams to fine-tune the 2023/24 season. The result? A season that promises not only fierce competition but also a deeper connection with the Zwift community.

Diverse Selection of Teams: For this season, Zwift has expanded the roster, welcoming back separate men's and women's team classifications. Thirteen teams will have both men's and women's squads, marking a record high. The decision reflects Zwift's commitment to growth and inclusivity within the sport.

Season Overview and Key Points: In response to popular demand, Zwift is integrating ZRL racing into rounds 3, 4, and 5 of the Zwift Grand Prix season. This move aims to offer all participants an enriched and cohesive racing experience.

Insights from the Zwift Community: Zwift's rider survey revealed that 73.6% of elite racers believe a connection with ZRL is vital for elite-level racing. Additionally, co-ed racing garnered strong support, echoing sentiments from Olympic Esports Week.

Exciting Race Formats: Here's what you can expect in terms of race formats:

  • Points Hunter: A fan favorite from last year's lineup, featuring 80 riders in 16 teams of 5. The course, set in 2015 Richmond UCI, spans 32.7 km and covers rounds one and seven.

  • Mountain Points Race: A challenge set on the Road to Sky course, featuring 80 riders in 16 teams of 5. This 17.3 km race in round two offers points at the top of the Alps and intermediate bonus points during the climb.

  • Epic Points Race: Round six takes you on a journey across the PRL Half course, spanning 69.7 km. Points are available at the finish line and at the top of each of the 4 ascents of Box Hill.
